This modern tea room/restaurant, decked out in light greens and whites, is headed by the highly inventive chef, Julien Hembert. All the cakes and pastries are Julien’s own creations and all are made on the premises. The house cake (pictured above) called L’ilot Vert (6 euros 60), has a chocolate mouse base with a green pistachio mouse on top.

Although Julien is an excellent pastry chef, his food menu offers quiches, pies and his signature dish Crumble d’Agneau (15 euros). This is a gorgeous melt-in-the-mouth lamb dish topped with traditional crumble (like apple crumble) and cooked with apples, pears and cinammon and served with a potato waffle.

Service is warm and friendly and overall this restaurant offers a real treat for the taste-buds and superb value for money in a convivial, modern environment.
