Nausicaa is a gigantic sea world centre that ingeniously brings the sea and all its glorious fauna and flora to life. Interactive displays, fun activities, films and games opens up the marine world like never before. Various aquariums show off a mind-boggling array of colourful fish and marine species from manta rays to sharks that swim overhead. The sea lion reserve is particularly good fun because these lively animals show off their acrobatics with grace and agility. Kids – and the young at heart – will adore the touch pool where friendly sting rays come to the sides of the pool to have their heads stroked.

You can ‘travel’ to the North Sea to see its live animals and enjoy the biodiversity and the spectacular settings of the Indian Ocean and Madacascar. There’s even a reconstructed beach that replicates the rocky coast of the Cape, in South Africa – penguins trot up, curious to meet you, before diving back into the water.

This seaword is a truly eye-opening, enjoyable, educational and highly entertaining establishment and if you are travelling with the family, this has to be counted as a must-see attraction. Allow at least two hours.
